About Us
Dr. Jolie Brams, Ph.D. Dr. Brams earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with Special Honors in Psychology and being admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She has a dual degree in clinical psychology and child development from Michigan State University, where she was a National Institute of Mental Health Graduate Student Fellow. She completed two years of internship at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY, and Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI, where she began a center for the assessment and treatment of child neglect, which still operates today. Beginning as providing forensic services in juvenile matters, she was the pivotal witness in a capital case involving an eighteen year old who executed three people, including his best friend. Her testimony assisted in a sentence of life and not death, and since that time 25 years ago has consulted and testified in hundreds of criminal and civil cases. She applies her knowledge of life span psychology, diagnosis of children and adults, and a multitude of experiences with a broad range of clients and cases to finding answers to complex forensic psychological issues.
